Tips, Tricks and Things You Should Know
Keychain Password
Keychain is an Apple application that keeps track of passwords for you. Some
places that it can be useful are on library websites, on file shares, and for
applications that require a password to open. You can choose to use it by
checking the box that asks you if you would like to save your password whenever
it comes up.
The first time you login to OSX, a default login
keychain is created with the same password
that you are using for login. If you want your
default keychain to be unlocked automatically
when you log in, make sure your keychain
password is the same as your Mac OSX login
password.
Because you are using your domain username and password to login to your
Macintosh and that password expires, you will be reminded by Keychain Minder
to change your password for Keychain login when you change your domain
password.
To access Keychain, click the padlock on the menubar and choose Open
Keychain Access (or go to your hard drive, open Applications, Utilities,
Keychain Access).
