Internet application software

You can’t explore the Internet using NIE alone; you’ll need e-mail software, a Web

browser, or other software to do more than simply establish an Internet connection.

An analog phone line or cellular phone

You can use a regular analog telephone line or a cellular handset.

A compatible external modem (cellular or PC card)

You can use a variety of modems with your Newton device. For the latest information,

Important Most modem PC cards require a lot of power and shorten the life of

batteries. When using a modem, it is best to use the NiMH Rechargeable Battery Pack
