The information that appears in the slip depends on your configuration—manual or

DHCP server.

m Local IP Address—Enter the numeric address for your device.

m Subnet Mask—Enter the numeric address that identifies the subnetwork

you’re using.

m Gateway/Router Address—Enter the numeric address for the gateway that directs

information to and from your device.

m Primary DNS/Name Server Address—Enter the numeric address that identifies the

computer that contains a list of IP addresses and their associated names.

m Domain Name—Enter the alphabetic address for the network you’re connected to.

6 When you’re finished, tap Done.

If you do not enter all of the information, a message appears telling you that you

need to enter information to continue. Tap Cancel to close the message slip, then

enter the necessary information.
