An Internet setup is a collection of information you need to connect to the Internet

using a network or a particular ISP. To easily create an Internet setup, you can use

one of the templates provided with the NIE software. There are two different kinds of

templates—Generic Setup and ISP templates. The latter are for use with many of the

popular Internet service providers.

Accessing a corporate or private intranet

If you want to use your corporate intranet, your network administrator or

Management Information Systems (MIS) department may be able to tell you how to

create an Internet setup or provide you with the appropriate information.

Important Many corporations have security policies that may restrict your use of a

Newton device on their intranet. Check with your network administrator before

attempting to connect your Newton device to your company’s intranet.
