To move forward or backward through the thumbnails, press the Right or Left Arrow key,
or drag the scroll bar below the slides thumbnail images.
To see the thumbnail for the rst slide, press the Up Arrow key; to see the thumbnail for
the last slide, press the Down Arrow key.
To show a particular slide, click its thumbnail, or type the slide number and press Return.
To close the slide switcher without changing the current slide, press Escape.
Note: You can’t jump to a skipped slide (see Skipping Slides” on page 42).
Here are ways to view keyboard shortcuts:
If youre viewing the Presenters Display during a presentation, you can see which keys m
control the slideshow by pressing the Help, Question Mark (?), or Forward Slash (/) key.
To see a complete list of all Keynote keyboard shortcuts, choose Help > m Sending a
Pages Document to iWeb.”
Stopping a Presentation
There are several ways to stop a presentation, depending on how you’ve set it up.
If you want to prevent unauthorized viewers from stopping a presentation (for
example, if the presentation is playing in a kiosk or demonstration booth), you can set
up the slideshow so that the viewer is required to provide the name and password for
the administrator (or the user who is currently logged in) of the computer on which
the slideshow is running.
To stop a presentation during playback:
Press Escape, Q, Command-Period (.), or Period (.). m
If the presentation has a hyperlink that stops the presentation, click it. To learn about m
creating a hyperlink that stops the presentation, see “Creating a “Stop Slideshow
Button Within Your Slideshow on page 133 .
To require an administrator name and password for stopping a presentation:
1 Click Inspector in the toolbar, and then click the Document inspector button.
2 In the Document inspector, click Document.
3 Select the checkbox for “Require password to exit show.”
When stopping a presentation that requires a password, just type the name and
password of the computers administrator (or the user who is currently logged in) in
the elds that appear after you try to stop the presentation using any of the methods
described above.
