Tutorial 4 Working With Particles 179
4 Choose NTSC Broadcast SD from the Preset pop-up menu, then click OK.
A new NTSC project is created.
Adding a Shape
This project uses a shape filled with a gradient as the background.
To add a shape to the project:
1 Select the Rectangle tool from the Toolbar.
2 Draw a rectangle slightly larger than the size of the Canvas.
3 In the Inspector, click the Shape tab.
4 Choose Gradient from the Fill Mode pop-up menu.
The red-and-blue default gradient fills the rectangle.
5 If it is not already visible, display the Project pane (press Command+4 or F5).
6 In the Layers tab, double-click the shape name Rectangle and type a new name: Sky.
7 Press Return to accept the new name.
