Step 2: Open the Installer

m To begin installation, double-click the Mac OS Install icon.

Note: If you see a message that your computer’s ﬁrmware needs to be updated, follow the

instructions for updating your ﬁrmware in the CD Extras folder on the Mac OS CD before

proceeding.

After a moment, a screen appears describing the installation process.

onscreen instructions.
