To share the printer with other non–QuickDraw GX users, follow these steps:

1Select Chooser from the Apple (

) menu.

2 In the Chooser dialog box, do the following:

3 In the Setup dialog box, make the changes you want.

The name you give the printer is the name others will use to select the printer

in the Chooser.

Printing

First, click this icon.

(If you don’t see the

icon, use the scroll

bar and arrows to

find it.)

Then click Setup.

To make your printer available

only to people you choose, type

a password here.

To use your printer, others must type

the password exactly as you have, so

remember how you typed the word,

including where you used uppercase

and lowercase letters or spaces before

or after the word.

To share your printer,

click to place an X in

this box.

Type a name for

your printer here.

(To avoid

confusion, give it

a unique name.)
