Troubleshooting Checking High Voltage - 15

Before you begin, remove:

• Rear Housing

• EMI Shield

1 Attach the Apple high-voltage probe to the multimeter and

attach the ground wire to the chassis.

2 Be sure the monitor is attached to a computer and has power.

3 Turn on the monitor.

4 Carefully insert the probe under the anode wire connector.

5 The reading should be 25 VDC on the meter. This is actually

25 kV. Most of the voltage is across the high-voltage probe.

Warning:

Do not remove the probe from under the anode

wire

connector

until power is turned off. Injury or damage to equipment may

occur.

6 Turn off monitor.

7 Unplug monitor.

8 Remove the probe from under the anode wire connector.

9 Go to the “No Raster Flowchart.”
